CAIES 512 Earthquake Relief Fund
The disastrous earthquake
centered in Sichuan, China has touched all of us. For humanity reason or for
Ôblood is thicker than waterÕ or whatever reasons, CAIES members have been
inquiring how CAIES can help.
One immediate way is to
donate money.
CAIES will set up a Ô512
Earthquake Relief FundÕ with our name on. We urge you to participate. Please
make a donation to the fund as much as you wish. You may have already donated
through other channels. That is fine. If you like, you can donate to this fund
again.

Your donation will be
individually accounted for. A receipt will be sent to you. When we collect a
sum together, weÕll forward the sum to the SF Chinese Consulate General. We
will continue to do so for a month.
CAIES is also exploring
the feasibility of forming an expert team to assist in the re-construction
effort with emphasis on setting up proper safety codes, standards and on
sharing time proven seismic resistant practices.
